Zhr fusion process

Here's how a zhr enters the host. It's a process that seems to involve some sort of magic, which not even zhrs themselves can understand.
1. A zhr is a small space alien with a buglike appearance. Its most recognizable attribute is the "mouth" that faces outwards towards the back (there is another one in the normal spot for eating stuff.) Zhrs vary in size but are always what humans consider "small".
2. When the zhr is preparing to take over a host, she will start glowing (usually blue or cyan) while hovering in one place. (Zhrs are generally referred to as female by humans due to the pitch of their voice.)
3. The zhr darts towards the other organism.
4. When the zhr enters the host, the host will begin to glow briefly in the same color (for a split second, but long enough to be clearly visible.)
5. The zhr is now in non-physical form inside the host's mind. (If the host dies or the zhr voluntarily leaves, the zhr will revert to physical form.) At all times, the host can hear the zhr talking in their head, and both will be aware of each others' emotions. The zhr will also see and hear everything the host does.
6. The zhr can take over the host's body, but only if the host is willing to let her do it. The first thing a zhr typically does is spawn her armor. The ability to spawn clothing is magical in nature, but the armor itself is physical and has to be designed and built.
While the zhr is controlling the body, the host can talk to the zhr and see and hear everything she does.
If the host wants to take control of the body, they can do so at any time, but they lose the armor.
